According to THR, Alec Baldwin will be playing Thomas Wayne in the WB standalone Joker movie starring Joaquin Phoenix.
I have been reluctant to write about this movie only because it's a WB DC movie that may or may not happen. At this point, about a month away from the start of production, I suppose it is inevitable - though there is still time to pull the plug!
But looking at this impressive cast, from Robert De Niro to Zazie Beetz, I am intrigued. The project is also cited to be a dark character study in the same tone as Martin Scorsese's The King Of Comedy and Taxi Driver. Scorsese is also listed as a producer at the moment.
