Mayhew returned to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, bringing the Wookie, Chewbacca, back to life onscreen once again after Revenge Of The Sith. However, even then, most of the strenuous work has been passed on to Mayhew's mentee, Joonas Suotamo.
And that was his last credit for Chewbacca on IMDb, and Suotamo was the one in the suit in The Last Jedi and the upcoming The Rise Of Skywalker.
Mayhew has been battling with health issues for years, may he now rest in peace.
