This was actually not bad at all. I was very entertained especially with the jokes. Smith and Lawrence were back into their characters without missing a beat. And directors El Arbi and Fallah captured the style and essence Michael Bay injected into the franchise so many years ago.

There were certain scenes that I wished could have moved faster a little bit more. And like most action movies these days, the script tried to cramp in too much to make the story feel more epic of give the leads more to do, which usually turns out to be detrimental to the movie itself. A longer movie does not mean a better one.

I liked the addition of the younger team to the cast but they didn't have significance to the main story. If we removed them from the movie the story would still be the exact same thing.

But the character arc, especially for Smith's, really showed the age and growth, and that's good to see. And the best humour all came from Lawrence, who has not lost his acting abilities.
