This was Guy Ritchie back to being classic Guy Ritchie after his foray into Disney and Aladdin. And it was a great comeback.
This cast was so good. And what a brilliant move to cast Hugh Grant as a sleazy and conniving villain. And Charlie Hunnam playing opposite him mostly, was great to see. I actually would like to see more of him onscreen.
What I really liked about this movie was the pacing throughout. And there was no one dull moment, every scene was magnetic; especially when you have such electrifying performances from Matthew McConaughey to Henry Golding.
While Grant probably had one of the more interesting roles in this movie, since his character was responsible for the storytelling point of view; however, I never liked fictional scenes such as dream sequence that didn't really add to the overall story of the movie. So while interesting to watch and made a little bit more sense than "dreams", Grant's assumption on certain points of view created some unwanted push and pull in the storytelling.
There was also one highlight in this movie with a music video that was just bonkers. And Ritchie delivered it that only Ritchie can.
