Title - You Should Have Left
Studio - Blumhouse Productions, Universal Pictures
Starring - Kevin Bacon, Amanda Seyfried, Avery Essex
Writer - David Koepp
Director - David Koepp
Release - 19 June 2020
Blumhouse is great producing horror flicks for cheap. But this movie shows that the third act just did not have enough "writing" to satisfy customers.
Also, it felt like throughout the movie, there were a lot of elongated scenes just to fill time. Therefore, it was too slow a pace to be interesting and it also wasn't as scary as it probably can be.
There's a clever plot in there but the execution just didn't feel clever. The fact that the dimension of the house is different within and without, had nothing to do with anything! The introduction of a character very late in the movie, had nothing to do with anything!
Kevin Bacon and Amanda Seyfried are great performers and they did bring their game, but the movie itself just didn't do much for me.
