I am officially impressed with Daniel Radcliffe as an actor now. This movie has finally shown his range, playing a South African no less.
The movie itself has this "oldie" quality to it with how Francis Annan shot it. It suit the time when it was set, and the style of the story.
What I didn't quite enjoy about it was a lot of unnecessary drama was artificially created just to create more tension and / or lengthen the actual story itself. I would have liked to see more drama inside the prison during their time there rather than circumstances created from one tiny item in the plot.
But as a prison break story, this was a really good watch.
