Release - 14 August 2020
The trailer for this by Netflix certainly did not impress. And I was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did.
Jamie Foxx brought his usual electricity and Joseph Gordon-Levitt was as electrifying as Foxx. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. But, also, Dominique Fishback held her own against the two powerhouses.
The concept of the story, very much like the X-Men, isn't original. But what Ariel Schulman managed to create made the unoriginal forgivable. While the action sequences wasn't expensively done, but the way they were shot, again you would easily forgive.
There was one sequence with a woman trapped in a transparent holding cell, that was impressive and clever.
There wasn't really a dull moment in this one, and you believe the relationships created because the chemistry onscreen were great.
Even though some scenes were a little cheesy, but again, you would immediately forgive them.
