[Review] The Unforgivable (8.5/10)

Title - The Unforgivable
Production - Construction Film, Netflix
Starring - Sandra Bullock, Viola Davis, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Rob Morgan, Linda Emond, Richard Thomas
Writer - Peter Craig, Hillary Seitz, Courtenay Miles
Director - Nora Fingscheidt
Release - 10 December 2021

I didn't expect this movie to be this good. From the onset, it looked a bit simple; Sandra Bullock's character having completed serving time and was trying to track down her young sister. But it turned out to be such a nice little thriller from Netflix.

One thing I will say was the age gap looked way too far apart between sisters. Maybe have a younger actress to play Bullcok in the flashback scene? But then again, it was Bullock's performance that was on showcase here from start to finish. And I would not be surprised if she is in the running for Best Actress.

Director Nora Fingscheidt had a nice build-up and a great pace to telling the story. Little information kept being revealed, until the big crescendo at the end.
