If you want to make fun of America and some of their people's recent antics, this is the movie to watch.

And it's made by Adam McKay, so he brought along his own brand of storytelling, style, and class while making fun. And I can see why so many Americans don't like it.

But the entertainment value shot through the roof in this satire. With so many great actors with great performances, I just don't think these are the characters that will get some nominations come Oscar season. But I do hope the movie and its director get some recognition.

However, if I had to argue for one, it would be Jennifer Lawrence. That one scene with Ariana Grande mouthing off to Leonardo DiCaprio, her expression was priceless.

And the real and meaty characters were really DiCaprio, Lawrence and Rob Morgan. Everyone else was playing a type of caricature. In a movie like this, they worked. You won't see Meryl Streep getting a nomination as this ridiculous president, but she was fun to watch and that's what she was there for. Same goes for Mark Rylance playing a senior Mark Zuckerberg, unmistakable so it was entertaining.

But I agree that a lot of things were very in-your-face. In this case, I didn't think it was too bad. It fits with the aim of making fun of America, and I'll leave it at that.
