One of the rare movies that we get it here weeks before its official release in the US. Unfortunately, The Bad Guys is not very memorable but was entertaining enough while it lasted.
The animation this time from DreamWorks was surprisingly different and refreshing; and not obvious to the brand. It's also worked very well for the movie to have Sam Rockwell - not someone too famous like an A-lister in Hollywood - lead the voice acting. He sounded familiar but not recognizable, and more importantly, fit his character just nice.
While Awkwafina seems to be in everything these days, it was nice to get Marc Maron in there too.
There were moments of laughter, but not enough. There was also heart in the story, but not overly sentimental that would leave a mark after you leave the cinema. It was adequate.
