[Editorial] Winners Of The 95th Academy Awards Vs My Predictions (2023)

I think this year I may have done the best in predicting the results only because EEAAO was such a front runner going in to the award night and almost sweeping the night.

From my "will win", I had 8 out of 13. Out of my "should win", Branden Fraser bagged it and of course I'm happy about it and happy for him. But sadly, Angela Bassett lost to Jamie Lee Curtis. I loved Bassett's performance so much more with so much more emotions in Wakanda Forever. 

All Quiet On The Western Front also won a lot of awards, which, again showed how detached is my preference for the winning movies this year. I didn't think that highly of this, nor EEAAO; but I do see their appeal.
