The opening with Samara Weaving and Tony Revolori was a good scene - a signature for the Scream franchise.
Everything that followed I wasn't that much of a fan. I will say that the "Core Four" - Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding - they had good chemistry going on (though it wasn't really for me). At least Barrera was a good lead, and I thought this rebooted franchise is lucky to have her.
The kills throughout the movie were as silly as all these slasher movies with a mortal killer that no one victims were able to outrun or out-beat. Even Courtney Cox was able to knock Ghostface down a few times but then she just ran away instead of finishing the job.
However, the final fight was good. When everything started to reveal itself, I could appreciate the way this movie linked itself to the rest of the franchise and I thought, at the very least, that was neat.
