Bill Burr is funny in other people's movies. But in his own movie, where he is supposed to be the lead, there's not much going on here.
He's trying to say something here, just like in his stand-up, he tells the truth about how people are behaving in the world today but in a hilarious way, but somehow those truths did not come with humour that actually land.
So the whole movie, you know what he's trying to do or say, but they were not effective. And in that perspective, the movie kind of failed.
Throughout the whole runtime, there were only a handful of jokes that I appreciated. Otherwise it was just going through the motions.
Bobby Cannavale was doing the acting for all his co-stars.
