Craig Gillespie and Lauren Schuker Blum wasn't able to bring an emotional impact through the direction nor the story. The way the movie ended was somewhat abrupt when the text appeared to conclude each individual character's fate.
I thought Pete Davidson was very entertaining as he was the comic relief. Whenever used properly and played to his strength, he can be very memorable onscreen.
Paul Dano was a good choice to play this role, even though I've never seen "Roaring Kitty" online before. But in this particular role, the quiet and reserved Dano made the character easier to get behind.
This tried to be the next "The Big Short" but it didn't have that magic touch of Adam McKay, who made the most boring subject interesting. It's still a competent movie but it will be forgettable.
