Nepotism? Sure. Was it a good movie? It was alright.
Ishana Shyamalan has learned the tools of the trade from her father, who produced this movie for her. She may even have a better grasp at writing dialogue as this movie did not have the sometimes-obtrusive lines that M. Night Shyamalan's movies may have.
However, there was a noticeably lack of suspense-inducing scenes that her father is so good at, plus his distinct camera movements.
Still, there was a decent adapted story, just very uninterestingly told. And that tiny twist towards the end, you could actually see it from when that character appeared onscreen.
