This is the best Godzilla movie I have ever seen; only because I have never seen a Japanese version before this one. And none of the Hollywood instalment has ever come close to this.
That very first shot of Godzilla when the spotlight suddenly went up to him, made me jump in my seat. It was such a joy to witness it.
And the humans for once were not annoying. There was a proper background for the "hero" of the story played by Kamiki Ryunosuke. Even though you would probably despise him at the beginning but by the end, he was redeemed.
Too bad the little girl wasn't a better child actress or she could have sold the drama a little bit more.
The rest of the supporting cast felt like they jumped out of an anime but not without their charm.
