At first I thought this was just going to be another romance drama type of film, but then I heard that it wasn't and that got me interested.

But, while the first half of the movie was trying to setup the second half, I was bored. It played out like any other love-triangle drama and I wasn't interested. And I was just waiting for the meat of it all, so to speak.

And while the second half got better, it was that last bit of the movie that really came together and made the whole movie work. Blake Lively put up a great performance here (and come to think of it, she has never given a bad one, or not to my knowledge anyway); and when she uttered the title of the movie, everything just clicked for me.

Also, it was a very smart move (unless it's how the book was written) for Justin Baldoni to cover up how his character abused Lively's character in the first half. But then showing exactly what happened later. That kind of kept things interesting, although confusing at first, for me throughout.
