I'm wondering why is this movie out so early. It should be a "first week December" release to coincide with the festival spirit because this is a Christmas movie. 

And quite a competent one at that. I saw some reviews and they have been very negative. I cannot understand why. To me, this was a fun, fun ride; with Chris Evans once again shedding his good-guy act, while Dwayne Johnson still doing his tried-and-true way - acting as The Rock acting.

The surprise addition here was Kiernan Shipka playing the villain. Not too much for her to do but she did what she had to. There was a fun Nick Kroll appearance and he sure was having fun with that one scene of being possessed. And a brilliantly hilarious split of his legs. 

If there was a sequel, I'd welcome it. That's how much I enjoyed this.
