This sequel is a huge step down from the original. It felt like this was a straight to video quality, with subpar story and songs that was never engaging from the start.
This obviously did not get the Frozen treatment, whereby the sequel was maybe just a stepdown from the original but still with engaging plots. The change in directors and writers from the original Moana probably was an indication on the change in quality.
I'm sure the kids would still enjoy this, but for adults this was a bit of a drag to sit through.
