What I really liked about this movie was how director Karrie Crouse could make me feel the sand, as if I was there with her characters.
Sarah Paulson was great from beginning to end. The way she took her medication and then touched the back of her head was a great tic for the character. Ebon Moss-Bachrach had a small role here, but I have come to really appreciate him as an actor. What he did here was quite memorable.
In the end, I felt like there were a few plot points that were left hanging, and they all centred around Moss-Bachrach's character. Because when he appeared and did a few things, he never really showed up again to clarify them. I understood Crouse's intention was to have them as coincidences but it didn't quite sit well with me.
But I did appreciate what this small movie achieved.
