[Review] My Old Ass (8.5/10)

Writer - Megan Park
Director - Megan Park
Release - 7 November 2024

This is the "realest" movie I have seen all year. Never for once did I feel like I was watching a movie that couldn't happen in real life. Yes, even when it got a little fantastical, but the way Megan Park shot it, it felt believable.

I thought Maisy Stella's performance was excellent, especially when she had the opportunity to communicate with her older self from the future. Also because Park wrote the dialogue in such a way that everyone would ask those same questions so it felt realistic.

And the third act actually surprised me with the switch-around. It hit in a different way because this was the first time this concept was presented in the opposite way. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and the message it left us with.
