I now believe whole-heartedly of the talent that is Naomi Scott. She carried this movie like nobody's business. In a mediocre horror flick like this, she gets an Oscar award.
Scott knows exactly how to perform to hit the right tone and style, and it's just comfortable to watch as she led me through some of the nonsensical scenes that were architectured just for frights.
That last scene with the monster was ridiculous. What was that for? It did nothing for the story. And don't get me started on the bulging eyes.
