There is a slow burn, and then there is this. Just slow.
I thought this was way too slow to be interesting. There was such a great cast here, but none of them were effective, safe for maybe Laurence Fishburne who just shone every time he was onscreen.
Poor Rami Malek still hasn't gotten something good enough after his Oscar win. Rachel Brosnahan, Julianne Nicholson and Jon Bernthal were a complete waste. They barely had any scenes.
The addition of Michael Stuhlbarg was a very nice touch as the man can do no wrong. But then again, I ask, how does this mediocre movie and script attracted such talents. If they had built the cast with lesser names around Malek and Fishbrune, we would still have gotten the same movie.
