What's better than having Michael B. Jordan in a movie? Having two! I never thought I needed this.
Sinners was something special, a kind of quality storytelling that we rarely get. And the way Ryan Coogler never really explained how vampires came to be in this world was just fine.
Plus there was never really any CGI involved, or not that I could see. Everything was just a camera trick.
All the cast involved were brilliant. Delroy Lindo, Wunmi Mosaku, Li Jun Li, Jack O'Connell; all were very effective. The tone was great from start to finish, there was such a signature stamp on it. Coogler once again delivered another hit, and seemed to can't miss at this point; ever since Fruitvale Station.
The movie requires another viewing. I am hesitant in giving it a rating because I don't think I have fully comprehend the brilliance of it yet. The movie stayed with me after it ended, not strongly but still.
Jordan's dual performance was fantastic. I needed more of him. Triple, next?
