Strangely enough, having a chimp as the lead character worked. Never once did I question the bizarre nature of it.

Also, I tend to be very scepticle when the subject of the biopic is also one of the creators of the biopic. Surely the story would skew preferably towards the subject. But somehow, the many flaws of Robbie Williams were portrayed very clearly here that I am going to give the whole thing a pass.

And because the lead character happened to be a chimp, there was a lot more that the visuals were able to go nuts with, especially when Williams' inner demons appeared.

I thought as a biopic, again, this was a very smart move to have the main antagonist as his own inner demons; and to see how he tried and tried to run away, battle and then lost. That showed more depth to the story that I could have imagined.

And by the end as he tried to make amends, well, did he really do it in real life or was this movie the only apology that he expressed? No one would truly know except for himself; but I was completely entertained by this movie.
