[Review] Train Dreams (8.5/10)

This must be this year's most beautiful picture, right up there with Kokuho.

Joel Edgerton's best performance to date, and also an unforgettable William H. Macy performance that when he first popped up and started talking, immediately you knew who that character was. That was an award-winning "guest performance" if there was one.

The movie dealt with loss and sacrfice and moving on from hurt. It was beautifully crafted by Scott Cooper, and I can't believe this movie had a budget under USD 3 million. All the cast and crew must have lived in tents while filming in the woods.
