This was a Benoit Blanc movie, yes, but it wouldn't have worked without the performance of Josh O'Connor. His character really had to be likeable for the audience to get behind him, otherwise the movie would have fallen apart.
And what a great turn from Josh Brolin, even with a small role here but when he's on, he was on. And what a quiet performance from Glenn Close who played it so small but you never lost track of her.
Out of the trilogy by Rian Johnson, I think this one was one tiny step behind the rest as I didn't think the rest of the ensemble had enough to do. And, while a fan of Mila Kunis, I didn't think she was a right fit for her role here.
