After watching this, I was surprised that Ethan Hawke had not garnered much buzz around the awards circuit because his performance here was incredible. Plus, he spoke from beginning until the end, non-stop. His Oscar nomination was well deserved. This was one of my favourite Richard Linklater movies.
Andrew Scott turned on some kind of charm, even though his character wasn't entire likeable. And Margaret Qualley was electric and magnetic, and turned on a bigger kind of charm that jumped out of the screen. If you are not sucked in by her performance, you might be dead inside.
