The comeback of Thomas Shelby has got to be the greatest comeback in the history of TV. And I don't just mean the return of the character, but when he was forced to don the hat and the clothes, and culminating with the grenade scene in the pub.
Great addition to the franchise in Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth and Rebecca Ferguson. A new story that was written for that period, maybe a little self-indulgent for Shelby to be playing the hero of England; but still in the right character headspace; and I think it was also inline with how Steven Knight's writing by season 6.
A satisfying end for the character.
