The Blind Side (8/10)
First of all, I have to say, Tim McGraw was unrecognisable to me. He suddenly looked much younger with his clean shaven face and that... hair. He looked familiar but I couldn't place him until the end credits. I guess that showed one thing, his acting was passable.I think the most brilliant part other than the story was the casting. Everyone from Sandra Bullock and Quinton Aaron to the kid Jae Head and the coach Ray McKinnon were fabulous. Everyone added a little something to the overall picture and that's why it turned out so great. At first I thought I was going to tear up at some point but surprisingly nothing made me do that. Director John Lee Hancock didn't put his audience through that and I found that a nice change from the expected. But certain parts seemed to dragged on for a little longer than it should have and they became boring. But good thing for the most part, it kept me very interested. This was just an amazing story to experience. I know that not everyone is this lucky and that the real people found each other by the sheer power of "snychro-destiny". He turned out to be a gentle giant and the family was very tolerant towards outsiders. Things just came together and when they do so so easily, it usually will work out in the end.
