Megamind 3D (5/10)

[/caption]I've heard many good things about this movie before going in. So I guess my expectations were a little higher and hence, greater disappointment.The story wasn't that fresh anymore coming in after movies like Kick-Ass. They are giving superheroes storyline a twist but this one didn't seem that original. Sure there's a nice story in there filled with jokes, but it got predictable; and more importantly, the jokes (even perfectly delivered by the likes of Will Ferrel, Jonah Hill, David Cross and Tina Fey) weren't that great.The 3D effects were nicely done and not over-the-top - though I'm not sure if 3D movies these days are still going over-the-top like 10 years ago. The colours and action sequences were all nice. But it's just that I didn't enjoy it as much as I fought really hard to stay awake.
