The Social Network (8/10)
[caption id="attachment_1956" align="alignleft" width="214" caption="(imdb.com)"][/caption]I was caught by the movie even from the beginning, from the first line. From the time Jesse Eisenberg playing Mark Zuckerberg started conversing.David Fincher has done it again for me. From The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button to The Social Network, both movies I have loved from beginning to end. And Aaron Sorkin's writing this time was also superb. But it was really the cast that brought this movie to life. All the cast that mattered were perfect. And I thought it was a great choice to cast Justin Timberlake as Sean Parker because of the inert star quality of Timberlake exuded for Sean Parker. The pacing was much faster than the book, I realised halfway through the movie. And I do prefer the pace of the movie still. The lesser characters here came in and out so fast that I don't even remember how many scenes they had because they were not given any attention at all. Mostly only mentioned in passing like the other two persons who helped Zuckerberg out in the beginning. But to be fair, they were pretty much in and out, too, in the book.I have read a lot of naysayers and their unfounded comments while the movie was being made. And look at it now, Oscar buzz and all that. This movie has exceeded even my highest expectations. Eisenberg should get nominated, really.
