Man On A Ledge (5/10)

This trailer didn't look good because it looked predictable and just like any other heist movie. To a certain extent that's true. But also to a certain extent it was interesting and entertaining.

What the movie had going for it was a huge cast. And that helped in curbing some predictability, although it didn't help too much.

It nice to see Edward Burns back on the silver screen in a more significant. It's been a while for me. And I realised I missed his deadpan, sarcasistic humour.

Not all the writing was successful in creating humour though. Jamie Bell and Genesis Rodriguez's lover's banter was trite and humourless. But Rodriguez sure was something to look at!

Sam Worthington and Elizabeth Banks at least had a good chemistry going on. And Ed Harris was commendable in his small role as well.

But building up the back story for this movie didn't work too well. I found myself unconvinced mostly throughout and couldn't really care too much what the characters or story turned out to be. And unfortunately, even the final sequence was unable to generate some excitement.

Predictable no doubt. But it was at least still watchable in the end.
