Act Of Valor (4/10)

I don't really know why this movie was made at all. It had nothing much to offer as it's just another run-in-the-mill with no real star to headline it.

So when there's no real star, no decent storyline, no decent action even, then what's the point?

The direction was weak. The story was weak too. The turn of events in the movie like how one of the main characters sacrificed himself looked really weak. That's because the whole writing for this movie was weak. So weak that even the narrative sounded weak as the actor himself was weak.

I could see what they wanted to do with this movie, using no real stars with as little Hollywood treatment as possible - so that it could look real. But nevertheless, as an entertainment piece, it didn't deliver.

I'd rather be watching Black Hawk Down or Saving Private Ryan again.
