The Cold Light Of Day (6/10)

Before we get Man Of Steel, we've already seen Henry Cavill as an Immortal and now this. His popularity definitely has been gaining steam of late. And he definitely does resemble Christopher Reeves a little bit as I can already see him in the red and blue spandex.

However, this thriller wasn't thrilling enough. It had a good start to the story but then in the middle it sort of lost the plot as it had to keep the audience guessing. And since we were expecting the revelation of sorts to show up, the longer the wait the more our expectations become. Until the end, it didn't deliver and the expectations were not met.

I thought the middle part and the chase went on for too long without much development and dragged on for a bit. But there were plenty of action sequences to keep the audience entertained.

I just want to say that Sigourney Weaver as this badass executive role is starting to get a little old. I would really like to see her in something different. Her previous one in Red Lights was quite good but she didn't play too big of a role.

The story, to begin with, wasn't original or too different from what Hollywood churns out every year. But the execution part could have been slightly better to make it more interesting.
