Once again, it's really these types of writing that gives no credit to the movie. If it's only there for the effects then it shows that creativity has really taken a wrong turn.
The story did not wander at all from the typical Hollywood horror formula. Actually, it didn't even attempt to take a step out of the box. Hence, it was predictable as hell. Again, the issue of creativity.
And the scariest part was when the possessed girl played by Natasha Calis kept repeating a phrase, it also made no sense has to why the Dybbuk would make her do it. Bad, bad writing.
Acting and direction wise, nothing really stood out and Jeffrey Dean Morgan wasn't particularly fantastic but there wasn't anything wrong at the same time. I thought Madison Davenport looked a whole lot like the singer Jojo, and I actually thought it was Jojo until now.
As a horror flick using the Dybbuk I thought it wasn't any better than the previous Dybbuk movie, The Unborn.
