Yes, there were a lot of nice choreography in the fights, all flasy and cool; but there was just not enough monsters for Milla Jovovich to kill this time round. They even had to recycle that gigantic monstrosity that weilds a gigantic hammer from a previous instalment. What is going on?
And who's idea was it to bring in Li Bing Bing? She had zero facial expression. And the worst part was, her character was tasked to explain the plot to the audience so she had a lot of talking to do. No wonder I didn't understand what was going on, even in a script that required the least amount of effort to understand for a Resident Evil movie.
She looked like she was trying so hard to memorise her lines that she forgotten to act with her face.
And since we're already lacking in the monsters department, the final fight was even more anti-climactic when Jovovich faced off with Michelle Rodriguez and Sienna Guillory.
Also, no surprise here, the decisions the characters make made no sense at all, like Rodriguez injecting herself with the needle when she could have done it earlier on when she had a shoot out with the guys.
No good, Mr. Anderson. Not good enough.
