Ted (7/10)

cAs silly as I thought this would be, it wasn't. It was actually pretty fun. And funny.

Not that the jokes were original, but I thought the way it was done was very well thought out. The whole concept of a talking soft toy, as implausible as it may be in reality, Todd MacFarlane wrote a script that was very easy to follow and forgive.

And to have Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis attached to this, well done to MacFarlane for making it happen.

Of course a lot of the scenarios were exaggerated and illogical, but because this was a strange kind of fantasy, I was able to overlook many of them and just enjoy the movie.

However, one thing that I found myself asking was, if the bear was actually another human being, the whole movie would have sucked. Meaning, the script wasn't original; and there were a lot of references to popular pop cultures. A lot of times it can feel gimmicky but with a talking teddy bear around, it's easy to forgive and enjoy them.

Plus being one who grew up with the 80's it's so easy to relate to many of the subplots. And one of the best parts were the many cameos, including my favourite one from Ryan Reynolds which was just so random.
