Spring Breakers (4/10)

My first experience with a Harmony Korine movie. This was a very visual piece, probably from a very visual director who uses it to generate feelings; while the dialogue was just OK for me when it's not being repetitive.

The development was slow, the plot was somewhat unrealistic, but the whole thing was quite uneventful for my taste.

Only James Franco and Ashley Benson, and to a certain extent Rachel Korine, provided the acting chops while Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez pouted unconvincingly the whole way through.

The worst part was the ending. If this is how Korine ends his movie, then I just can't be a part of the experience because I really cannot appreciate the illogical and unrealistic turn of events. The only thing I really liked was the dark and moody settings but that's really not enough to make the movie any better.
