World War Z (7/10)

So I didn't read the book before the movie, so I have no basis for comparison. And as always, that's a good thing.

I enjoyed this very much. I didn't expect such a realistic story. Like Warm Bodies, this had the refreshing feeling as it wasn't just a zombie movie. It had that something extra to make it special and stand out.

The only thing that wasn't good enough for me, after having seen the awesomeness of the zombies in the trailer, was that there wasn't enough zombies climbing over zombies. I can only remember two, which were both shown in the trailer. I think the trailer actually had another scene which was cut from the final version for the silver screen.

Another thing for me was that Brad Pitt wasn't the right choice for this role. With that hair, and his overall look, he just didn't fit the bill for me as a father of two daughters as well as having the background of a special operative personnel of any kind. I guess he looked too pretty to be tough.

And I wanted a bad ass finale as well which I didn't get from the anticipation of the build-up.

But still, a great job by him for producing it. Marc Forster was great directing it as well.
