This Is The End (8/10)

I could not believe how hard and loud I laughed. The brilliance here was something that only Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg could come up with.

The best thing was having the actors use their real name and play up their most idiotic selves. And having other celebrity friends in it also increased the level of entertainment.

The gags were outrageous and that's probably the understatement of the year. And I really appreciate how there were still good messages to take away from this very R rated movie. It's great to have some meaning behind all the craziness; nothing wrong to have brainless fun to but to be able to be reminded of the meaning of life is always a welcome.

All the actors involved had fantastic characters. Characters that were real and probably readily available in our immediate environment. And that's why they were so relatable in their fears and wants.

I'm very sure the cast had plenty of fun making the movie, but for me, the second act dragged on too long. There were probably a few scenes that could have been cut because I was wondering a few times where the movie was going. And I was slightly bored.

But I'm happy to see that these actors don't always have to take themselves seriously and can pull off something like this.
