Here's a role that you don't usually see Gerard Butler in. To say that he didn't fit the role would be wrong. But to say he did the role justice, a role that had complicated layers, would also be inaccurate.
Butler isn't that great an actor just yet. But he gave quite a good performance as it was almost totally believable. Whereas for Jamie Foxx, he portrayed his role perfectly; playing a confident and almost obnoxious lawyer.
There were scenes that were quite violent to my surprise, and some shocked as well; but all done in good taste. The script was definitely well written as it was fun to watch how the story unfolded with Butler's character, how he would struck next.
The ending was satisfying, somewhat sad but it could have gone either way and it would have been fine. Although, I would have loved to see an alternate and opposite ending.
