After coming off a financially successful reintroduction of Godzilla, it has been announced that the first Star Wars spin-off will be directed by Gareth Edwards.
This spin-off is set to be released a year after Star Wars Episode VII. There has been speculation that he will be directing the Godzilla sequel as well but with this news, the Godzilla sequel is uncertain as of now.
Also uncertain is which spin-off will this be. Speculation again suggests that the movie could be centred on one of the three following characters, Yoda, Han Solo or Boba Fett.
Which one is Edwards most suited for? I don't know as I have only seen his Godzilla and not the one which got him the Godzilla gig, Monsters; though I will be checking it out soon. So just judging by Godzilla alone, I'll say Boba Fett or Han Solo which should be more action oriented with a mix of character development. Yoda, I'm guessing, will be more philosophical and character driven?
