Josh Trank Recruited For Star Wars Spin-Off

Just last week, Gareth Edwards was named to helm one of the Star Wars spin-offs, after seeing how well his Godzilla was doing.

Just yesterday, Lucasfilm and Disney has added another hot name to the list, Josh Trank.

Trank previously gave us the very incredible Chronicle. And he should be just almost done with the shoot for Fantastic Four, starring Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell.

And since Fantastic Four is a Marvel property, and Disney owns Marvel and Star Wars; the top people over at Disney must have heard only good things about Fantastic Four, or have even seen some footage, to want to recruit Trank.

This is a win-win for a fan like myself. Chronicle was one of my top 5 movies of 2012. I couldn't wait to see what Trank would direct next. And lo and behold, a Marvel property no less. So now we can expect to see a Fantastic Four movie that has high potential, and also look forward to seeing Trank direct a Star Wars movie.
