Fox has just hired Game Of Thrones writer Bryan Cogman to pen the script for Magic The Gathering movie. Fans of the card game can rejoice as we'll probably see this movie in the next couple of years.
Cogman, probably best known recently for the episodes "The Laws Of Gods And Men" and "Oathkeeper" in the latest Game Of Thrones season, doesn't have a lot more credit under his belt. But to be able to deliver a couple of episodes for a great season like Game Of Thrones may say a bit more about what Cogman can do. Nevertheless, Fox may also hire other writers to polish it up in due time.
I've never played this game before though I wouldn't mind trying it out. It's for people that likes to collect stuff (in this case, cards) so I fall into this category perfectly. I used to own this huge stack of Marvel cards that could join together to form a huge poster.
But I understand that there's a rich lore with Magic The Gathering and I'm sure a good story can be created for it. Plus I love this genre of wizards and mages and orcs and knights. I'd watch it.
