I love a good crime / mystery thriller and we just don't get enough of this genre. So I have super high hopes for Gone Girl, directed by David Fincher and starring Ben Affleck.
This tone of the trailer reminded me a lot of Affleck's own directorial work. From Gone Baby Gone to The Town, this felt like a natural next step for Affleck to take.
I am already intrigued by the story, and I think Affleck will do great in this role. Also in the cast are Rosamund Pike (who should be more well known), Tyler Perry (whose work has never made it to Brunei yet), and Neil Patrick Harris (it will be interesting to see how he does in this genre).
Gone Girl is set to open against The Conjuring's spin-off, Annabelle, on 3 October 2014.
