Dreamworks has released some new dates for their upcoming animated sequels.
The Croods 2 will be released on 22 December 2017, while Puss-In-Boots 2: Nine Lives & 40 Thieves will be released on 21 December 2018. Initially, these two movies were slated to be released in the month of September in those same years, but now they have targeted their movies to the Christmas season - which is a much better choice in my opinion, where it's the time of family gatherings and holidays.
I remember to have been disappointed by The Croods. The trailers looked promising but the actual movie suffered from pacing and storytelling issues. I'm probably the only one that didn't like it though, so I'm not really looking forward to a sequel.
Whereas for Puss In Boots, I honestly don't remember much about it other than those huge, round and dangerous eyes. However, a fun fact is that the character was introduced in Shrek 2 just about 10 years ago. One alarming note would be that the first movie came out in 2011, and the sequel is only scheduled for 2018. I'm not sure if people would still care by then.
