Steve Martin To Star In Disney's Magic Camp

(Picture sourced from geektyrant.com)
Do you remember when was the last time you saw the legend Steve Martin on the silver screen? I don't either. Maybe because his last movie The Big Year back in 2011 was so bad that nobody remembers it.

Ever since then, Martin hasn't had any major projects until now. News has broke that Disney has recruited him to lead a family comedy called Magic Camp.

Not only will this project sees Martin coming back into the family comedy genre, but it also marks a return for him back to Disney (last one being Shopgirl in 2005) and back to his magician roots - Martin first worked at the Magic Shop in Disneyland before becoming a comedian and magician, and then later on, actor.

Martin is also reported as drafting the latest version of the script, however no director is attached and no release date has been set.

But, having grew up with Martin's movies, he will always have a soft spot in my heart. Family comedy or straight up comedy, I'm all in. I do hope, though, he takes more risks with his choices now. Even if it's a Disney family comedy.
