Ang Lee is a genius director who takes his time selecting the projects he wants to do. And he has chosen one.
Adapting the novel Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk by Ben Fountain, the story talks about a young soldier whose platoon survived a battle in Iraq and became heroes back home. But right after the celebration during the halftime show of a football match on Thanksgiving, they are scheduled to return back to Iraq to continue the war.
The story is described as both heartbreaking and humorous. Sounds like a perfect fit for Lee.
