X-Men: Apocalypse Confirms Director

It's a happy day today for X-Men fans.

Even though it may seem like a lock, but for those of you who have been following the unfortunate news surrounding director Bryan Singer would have more insights as to why his future with the X-franchise could have ended with X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

But as of today it is confirmed that Singer will be back in the director's chair for the third movie of this trilogy. I'm thrilled with this news because to me, that movie was a perfect execution from Singer and currently still is my favourite movie of the summer.

Also another piece of news is that Simon Kinberg, who is also back to write for Apocalypse, hinted that they may be re-castimg the characters of Cyclops, Storm and Jean Grey as the franchise is going to move forward with the younger cast; and rightfully so. Whether or not these characters will be brought back is just all speculation at this point though.

Even though I am a fan of James Marsden as Cyclops and thought he never got his due with the franchise, thinking of the prospect of a recast also got me pretty excited. I wouldn't mind seeing a younger versions of these characters and see what kind of talent will be playing them. I have no qualms at all about the casting seeing as how fantastic it has been with the First Class.

Now we shall just have to impatiently await the news.
